We got to go on a ghost hunt this weekend at Eastern State Penitentiary, led by Kris Williams. In the dark, knowing you’re in one of the most haunted places in America, knowing that violent people died violently there, you’re pretty much guaranteed to see or hear something.

By The Sisters Sardonic – For those who love the paranormal, each new TV season simply astounds with the plethora (thank you The Three Amigos for teaching us that word) of ghost-oriented shows available. Just a few short years ago, one was lucky to find dramatized narratives of ghost stories during the Halloween season, let alone the rest of the year. Now, thanks to the weird and bizarre world we live in, one has a choice of numerous shows not just telling boring stories, but delivering real-life ghost action. Last Sunday night was the premiere of fresh episodes of Paranormal State, back-to-back episodes of haunt-y goodness. So, we Sisters settled in with our review supplies (chocolate truffles, a legal pad, and chocolate truffles) and prepared to be scared.

Kris Williams is one tough chick. This Massachusetts native has done it all from construction to art to modeling. She added “awesome paranormal investigator” to that list in 2007 when she joined the cast of Ghost Hunters. In a television genre dominated by men, Kris has stood out by defying the traditional role of the terrified girl: Kris runs toward the things that go bump in the night, not away from them.
