TheFallen

GIVEAWAY: A Zombie Prize Pack from The Fallen!

As a teenager, it’s normal to think that all adults are out to get you. In the world of Charlie Higson’s series The Enemy, they really are. Check it out:

When the sickness came, every parent, policeman, politician – every adult fell ill. The lucky ones died. The others are crazed, confused and hungry.

Only children under fourteen remain, and they’re fighting to survive.

A gang of children begin their quest across London, where all through the city – down alleyways, in deserted houses, underground – the grown-ups lie in wait.

OH MY GOD. That’s exactly what it feels like to be 14 years old!

  1. Right now next to the front door, I’ve a smoke detector that goes off for a few minutes at a time (even if there’s no fire) when it has any power to it. So I’d start with that. Loud noises = distraction. That should give me time to grab the machete I bought in India a few years ago that’s hanging on the wall nearby. Either that, or I’ll race the cats to the best hiding spots in the house and hope the zombies don’t do a very thorough search before moving on.

  2. Q: There’s a zombie at your door. What’s your weapon?
A: A platter with the brains of my enemies.

(Don’t ask me why I keep that in my fridge)
