It seems that Lifetime has unceremoniously dumped the final two episodes of Blood Ties online. There was no announcement that I know of. One day the next episode was on my Tivo to do list and the next day it was gone. It would seem that Lifetime has no more respect for fans than any other channel. I suppose we should be somewhat thankful we saw any of the second half of the season at all. read more »

I was really looking forward to this week’s episode after all the character stuff going on last week. Interestingly this week we had a better story, but not a ton of forward movement on the character development. It’s either/or on this show - not both. read more »

In the original Tanya Huff novels Henry Fitzroy was a writer of romance novels. In the television series he’s a graphic novel artist. In the kingdom of geek the graphic novel artist is a god. It’s also far, far sexier than a romance novelist. This also lends itself far better to the visual medium of TV. read more »

This episode of Blood Ties sort of epitomizes everything I love and loathe about the show. On the one hand we saw the growing bond between Vicki and Henry. Their care and concern for each other has grown since the first episode. On the other hand the plot was so cobbled together that frankly I concentrated more on the laundry I was folding than I did on the show. read more »
