Halo: Reach Beta

By Shawn Deena – This week we got Halo: Reach Beta in advance of the release of the full game in the fall. With an expectation of players in the millions, gamers with an Xbox Live Gold membership and a copy of Halo 3:ODST (or if you got an invite) have been playing this game since Monday. And while they may have been playing this beta with some really neat new tweaks, weapons, armor modifications and multiplayer modes bottom line is this is Halo multiplayer, plain and simple.

Words on Worlds of Warcraft: Behaviors

by John Zakour – Okay, maybe I am bit more sensitive these weeks but lately I’ve been noticing a lot more rude behavior in WoW. So here are a few behaviors I would like to see curbed in WoW. I think it would make the game a much more enjoyable experience for all.

WoWoW: Real Life

by John Zakour Sometimes IRL (real life) gets in the way of playing WoW. This week has been one of those times.  My father is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease and has been in a nursing home for the past two years.  Monday the nursing home head nurse called and said, “your dad [...]

WoWoW: Second Career Choices

by John Zakour – I haven’t been playing as much WoW this week due wanting to push forward on my next and the promotional time needed for my Zuda entry Lasers Dragons and Lies. So I haven’t been allowing myself to play until I have written at least 2K words and sent out a bunch of emails to contacts telling them to check out LDL on Zuda. That said, when I have been playing WoW I am been concentrating on one of the more boring (but important) aspects of WoW, making money, well gold.

Quick column this week due to the holidays and all.  First of all, seasons greetings to all.  I hope you are having a good winter’s veil. Second, maybe I am Scrooge, but most of the WoW winter’s veil quests leave me saying “ba humbug!”  I do want to get into them I really do.  I [...]

Words on Worlds of Warcraft: Sieging Forward

by John Zakour When I first learned that Wrath of the Lich King would include siege stage battlegrounds I wasn’t all that thrilled.  My initial thoughts were along the lines, “Well that’s kind of nice I guess but not for me.”  I like my BGs the way BGs are meant to be man versus man [...]

WoWoW: You may be playing a bit too much WoW if…

by John Zakour In my push to level 80 I may have been playing a bit too much but I rationalized this by saying, “Hey, once I get to 80 I will relax.”  Surprisingly enough now that I am finally at 80 I have relaxed quite a bit.   Sure I need better gear now (I’ve [...]

WoWoW: What’s The Hurry

WoWoW: Passing the Time Waiting For The Lich King

by John Zakour Despite the fact that I advanced purchased my copy of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King months ago through Amazon my copy still hasn’t arrived.  In fact it’s not due to arrive for another day, which means I won’t be able to play Lich King (and level)  for at least [...]

Words on World of Warcraft (WoWoW): Zombies Zuck

by John Zakour Okay, first off, I really like World of Warcraft. I’m an old Dungeons and Dragon player and to me WoW is the next best thing. WoW is like D&D I can play any time with nine million of my closest friends. If I am on deadline (which I almost always am) I [...]
