“Metamorphosis” wasn’t too bad. I didn’t love it, but I also didn’t feel the need to throw anything at the screen. I DIDN’T EVEN HATE KATE. I’m so glad I was wrong and planets didn’t have to fall out of the sky for her to not suck.

These episodes made me angry and then the show changed air nights behind my back, but I calmed myself down and decided to tackle the mountain.

Recently I was given the honor to join in on a chat with the lovely Amanda Tapping and the challenging Robin Dunne. Usually when people end up in a discussion with someone they have dogged in their recaps, they make apologies and dump piles of praise on the previously attacked person. I’m not going to [...]

To prove that I was not so jaded with the show in the beginning, I am going to post one of the original recaps I did. Enjoy this trip back to a happier time (Oct 2008): Settling into a smoother format, this episode opens with a robbery. The clerk sets off the silent alarm and [...]

Will, Mags and Ash are in Scotland staking out a crypt and some squid faced creatures show up that Ashley and Magnus beat up and shoot a bit before Will is ushered inside. There are three caskets which appear to be housing three living women. Post opening credits, there is a sweet mother daughter moment [...]

A few weeks ago I decided that maybe I was wrong about the caliber of some of the actors and that maybe the fault was due completely to the randomness of the writing staff. Luckily, the place where I originally wrote the reviews managed to disappear, so I get to watch these episodes again somewhat [...]

“I’m definitely having a Vista moment.” – Henry Foss So I sat down to do this review during my first watch of the episode because I figured that I would get holiday busy. I started watching and every time I tried to write something down, all that came out was a string of expletives. PRG [...]

By DR Hanson – I see SyFy’s “Lend an Actor” program is still in full swing. Their main capture at this juncture is Rona, played by Polly Walker of “Caprica fame”. I guess in this instance it’s no longer a lend program as a “Please Hire me, my show got cancelled” program.

Flashback, flashback, waffle. First up, “For King and Country” which is a pile of flashbacks about a mediocre character masquerading as a real episode. I feel like there should have been a sign that said “Welcome to Filler Island” Related Stuff:

By DR Hanson – Magnus is running on a rooftop. What could make Helen run and look so concerned? Whatever it is it sounds like a Predator and looks like Kabal from Mortal Kombat. But it’ll soon look like pizza as Helen dons a cool black mask, rushes it, and leaps off the ledge to their…demise? Cue opening.

Ok, so I finally got all of the family members out of my house. Let’s do this! I had a big long winded review of Animus, which has become one of my favorites because it is chocked full of Henry, but DR basically says the same thing – minus DR liking naked Henry much more [...]

By DR Hanson – They’ve dropped the lame opening banter between two characters and have replaced them with two Brits. Brits make everything better. Trust me, I work with one and she’s a doll. So try to get a British doctor or cop because it’ll make that cancer diagnoses or speeding ticket that much easier to swallow.

By DR Hanson – “Hero II: Broken Arrow” is your typical throw away episode. It’s fodder for the season and a paycheck to the actors and crew. The uninspired title sets the foundation for an uninspired hour of Television. I have chosen to re-title it for this review: “The One Wear the Geek Finds Himself and Kate Fails to Channel Catwoman”. How’s that for inspiration?!

By DR Hanson – I’ve been impatiently waiting for Nicolas Tesla’s return to the Sanctuary. So four episodes in and this fan boy finally gets some answers. Those answers however, are scattered in between flashbacks and scenes where no one, the writers and Big Guy included, knew what to do with Kate. God, I hate you Kate Freelander. But as much as I hate Kate Freelander, I love Nicolas Tesla!
