I love it when I finish a book, and feel compelled to ask the author when the next one in the series is due out. After I finished The Search For Artemis that was the first thing I asked author P.D. Griffith. This is a perfect summer read for kids and fans of young adult fiction.

Stonewielder is one of a large collection of books written in the epic fantasy empire of Malazan. (Note to self: *always* read the fine print where it tells you it belongs to a bigger collection.) When I say epic, please understand I mean epic turned to eleven.

For a mainly filler episode this was kind of fun, and I enjoyed the breaking up of all the serious badness. Which I am sure there is going to be plenty of next week.

Instead of cheese and schmoop, Beacon opens with a healthy dose of dramatic tension. Tess seems to be at the center of the tension. Accused of censorship by a very incensed Lois she discovers that someone approved some rather vicious articles. When he tries to get away and walks into her office Lionel is sitting in her chair.

I can now start “Countdown to Cape 2011” *cue dramatic news story music* Will we see it for longer than thirty seconds of the last episode? Will Tom Welling even look good in the suit?

By Aden Penn – Dear Writers of Smallville: Something as important as a city wide fraking curfew is something you should build up to a little, maybe throw it in an overheard radio broadcast. Or maybe even a press conference playing on the tv. Such things require finesse. This appearance of an important plot point has about as much finesse as a drunk troll in a tutu.

By Aden Penn – I’m glad I kind of had a clue what this episode was about going in. This way I can ready my brain for the onslaught of an alternate universe episode. ( all aboard Lenny, the great jumping shark. He’s kind of been a busy boy lately).
