After New York Fashion Week, there’s London, which is always a bit more hip and weird.
My absolute favorite look from the London runways is this shattered mirror pantsuit from Tom Ford, which screams I’M A DISCO BALL, BITCHES:
These dresses are subtly futuristic in the shape and fabric choices:
What makes these looks from the Giorgio Armani show work is the staging:
If they’d gone down the runway individually, they would’ve been forgettable. But, sending them down together makes them look like a fabulous trio of culty priestesses from a Syfy series.
Then there’s Julien MacDonald, whose target market appears to be villainesses and pop starlets:
I love the shape and colors on this Peter Pilotto dress. It manages to look like a video game, a rocket, and an explosion all at once:
I’m starting to wonder if Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label line is just where she tosses the scraps from her main collection. Her models for the Red Label show all looked like they’d been wallowing around in a trash heap.
