Pink Raygun is a contributor-owned co-op with voting shares related to activity.
For example, Shareholder A contributes once per quarter and would have one voting share; Shareholder B contributes twenty times in a quarter would have twenty voting shares. When it comes time to vote on an issue, Shareholder B will have more voting power than Shareholder A. If owners vote to payout revenues, Shareholder B will receive a larger payout than Shareholder A.
- One post = one voting share
- Posts must be original and must appear only on PRG. This means that we cannot cross-post or accept duplicate content.
- Ten legitimate, relevant, verifiable links to PRG = one voting share. This includes social media and message boards. Do not spam other sites! Keep track of your links – when it reaches ten, post it on our Google Wave. Links will be verified by the editorial team and can only be submitted by contributors who have written at least one piece for PRG.
- Translations into legitimate, Earth-based languages of any posts, comics, etc. will also qualify for a full voting share. Sorry, no Klingon.
- To be considered an active owner with full voting rights, you will need to contribute at least once per quarter.
- An owner that doesn’t contribute in a given quarter will revert to inactive status and voting shares will be cut in half. (i.e., if this person had one voting share as an active owner, that would become half a share as an inactive owner).
- Inactive owners may opt out of voting. However, their shares will continue to be tracked.
We’ll use Google Wave to communicate with one another to ensure transparency and to more efficiently work together. Voting will be conducted via Wave.- Votes will be conducted once per year.
- The current editorial team will continue their duties with technical and editorial management. In exchange for this, they will each accumulate one additional share per week.
To become a contributor for either site, Contact the editorial team at submissions@pinkraygun.com. Include your name and a writing sample. The sample doesn’t need to have been published – it can be an existing blog or a rant off the top of your head. If you already have an idea for a piece, include that idea. Since we’re a contributor oriented site, so it will be important that you’re able to generate your own ideas.
