Holiday Wish List: Posters & Prints

Can I take a second to complain about something? Can I just say how much I hate Etsy’s new layout interfacey thing?

I hate it. Really hate it.

My problem doesn’t lie with Etsy looking more like Pinterest…my problem is the removal of topical subcategories in each department. I used to think, “Hmmmm, I’d like a robot bracelet/ zombie brooch/ generalized nerdy ear cuff,” be able to drill down right through the subject, and be presented with a wide range of options, frequently finding items I hadn’t even thought to look for. Now, I have to rely on keyword searches, which turns a leisurely browse into a chore.

Anyway.

Posters and prints!

It’s hard to see in the photo below, but the print is a quote from Philip K Dick: ”Sometimes it is an appropriate response to reality to go insane.

I’ve been enjoying fictional travel posters lately:

Uranus is a giant ball of gas,” Wee Cousin said as he presented his Uranus pamphlet to his 2nd grade class.

Robots!

This is just pretty.

And a bit o’Twin Peaks….

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.
