I really do wonder if there are as many people going steampunk for Halloween as there are tiny steampunk top hats for sale on Etsy.
So. Many. Tiny. Top. Hats.
I was expecting more from Etsy when it came to Halloween costume stuff. Expecting more pretty much sums up my experience with a lot of things, though: Avatar. My teaching career. Dinner.
Here are some things that floated to the top of my disappointment milkshake (which came with my sadness dinner and hopeless for d’oeuvres).
My favorite thing was this gross out choker necklace:
It’s probably meant for zombie costumes, but I’d want to just wear this to dress up my business casual look at work events.
Then there’s this:
I’m starting to get over steampunk. Like to where I’m rolling my eyes every time I hear the word. BUT! I dig this Steampunk Wonder Woman costume. (Notice her full size hat.)
Also fun? Horns.
A couple lovely masks:
This last one is the stuff nightmares are made of:

I’m going to wear the last mask the next time I go to my kids’ school. They already get a kick out of my ever changing nail colors (this week-glow in the dark skulls and silver bats over black paint). This mask would blow them away.
