Alphas: Need to Know

I’m starting to identify with Bill quite a bit.

He’s been the only one to openly defy Rosen and attempt to go about the Stanton Parrish hunt in a constitutional manner, rather than by sneaking about, denying alphas their rights left and right. I loved it when he flat out told Rosen, “No. I won’t be skulking with you today. You’re just going to screw everything up.”

And it wound up working out for Bill. He and Gary were able to identify Parrish’s plan by finding Skylar and connecting the dots between her mini-photic stimulators and the attacks on the power gird.

Rosen’s mind-control/ fiery torture technique? Not so much. That got him into the lair, but without support, what’s he really going to do other than get shot in the stomach and bleed out in a car? His only strength is in manipulating others. Alone, he’s just an old psychiatrist in a cardigan.

So, good for Bill, telling Rosen to piss off.

Meanwhile, everyone who isn’t an alpha is going to die! Woohoo!

On a parting note, I wish Alphas had been able to keep this pace for the entire season. It started off strong, then waned in the middle, which was disappointing after a first season that was spot on.

Here’s hoping the season finale next week isn’t a drizzle.

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.
