What’s your badass soundtrack?
Doesn’t matter if you sing it out loud or just play in your head, but we’ve all got a playlist (I’m still not used to that term – I still want to say “mix tape”) that makes us feel like a badass walking down the street. Mine is in my Pitch Perfect Remix post. What’s yours?

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram. 
I have a bunch of playlists put together over the years for various situations, road trips and such. I built one recent playlist (well, mix CD since we’re old school and only have an old boom box for music at the gym) for my boot camp class when we’re stuck inside due to the weather. We’re a group of late-20somethings through late-40somethings, mostly engineers and generally a few more women than men. So the playlist reflects those demographics. I also tried to time the songs with the basic pace of our workouts, so you get “Help!” and “I’m a Believer” during what is usually the toughest part, when it seems like you’re miles away from the end of class. And Cheesburger in Paradise comes as we’re cooling down and stretching, partly to remind us all why we’re all there.
