Everyone had issues. But good lord, do they all need to crop up in the same episode in a manner that caused me to leave for 15 minutes, come back, and not really have missed anything?
Bonnie has Mommy issues. Caroline has Daddy issues. Elena has Stefan issues. Tyler has Klaus issues. Damon and Alaric have Dr. Fell issues.
Seems that the key to opening the mysterious un-open-able (shut up, you know what I mean) coffin is…duh duh duh…Bonnie’s long lost mother. Yeah, totally not a surprise since anything and everything falls back to the circle of magical super friends
Tyler is tired of being Klaus’s bitch, so he calls in Caroline’s father for help. To break the tie of being sired, Tyler has to wolf-out all by himself. That works out well. Especially when Tyler eats Mr. Forbes.
Good thing, Dr. Fell isn’t a total psycho case. Well, in a sense she is a nut job because she knocks out Damon, steals his blood and then uses it to fix the mauled Mr. Forbes. She’s a nut job with a heart of gold.
Klaus makes threats, and compels people, and grandstands…as usual. And, as usual, everyone backs down. He ends up with 3 of the 4 coffins. The fourth being the one that Bonnie dreams of, that no one knows what’s contained inside, and that no one can open except the missing momma with no magic. Yeah, I see that dragging out while she refills her mojo.
Stefan shows up where he’s not wanted. On my TV and at Bonnie’s mom’s place. Since he’s not the Ripper any more he’s just blah. Again.
That, of course, means that Elena confesses her kiss with Damon. Stefan has the nerve to look like someone kicked his puppy. Really Stefan? After all you’ve done for her. I can see why you’re so upset.
Which leads brokenhearted Stefan into punching Damon in the face. I didn’t see that coming at all (insert sarcasm here).
For the weekly cliffhanger, Damon shows Stefan the original non-killing dagger that he removed from one of those in the coffins that do unlock. Seems like Elijah is pissed and is ripping out hybrid hearts like a champ. Maybe he’ll finally kill his brother, like he promised. It’s unlikely since this season is only half way finished.
