One of the biggest questions I have about Terra Nova is how do they know that the portal worked? They said the beacon wasn’t recovered, so they conclude that it was sent back to an alternate timeline. That’s quite a leap! How do they know it wasn’t sent into a black hole at the center of the galaxy? Or to some hostile alien world? They made it pretty clear that you can’t go back once you crossed through the portal. So how do they know it’s safe?
Big frackin plot hole if you ask me. You didn’t. But if you did.
That was also bugging me through the show. There has to be more to it, some communication that could be received on the future end of things. Either it’s lousy writing that wasn’t thought through, or there’s something more that will be revealed later. Terra Nova is looking like it could go either way as a series right now.
Well, I’ve already lost patience. But hey, if they do resolve that issue, please update this thread! And then I’ll check it out later on Netflix.
