By Aden Penn – We spend the first few minutes of this episode watching Clark and Lois make doe eyes over each other in the kitchen. They are all glowy from their special night, and acting rather nauseating. It gets worse when Lois tells him she is not hungry for food, and convinces him they need to go outside on the porch swing. Ha! I knew it. Lois is a total freak between the sheets. If she had her way they would be doing it all over the Kent farm.

By Rhea Dee – So a few weeks ago, Fringe managed to get itself on a list of shows in peril. I guess the ratings are pretty low (compared to previous seasons), and the “expert” analysis blamed confusing storylines as the reason that viewers have given up on the show. You see, this is why more people need to love and respect David Lynch films. Because if they did, they would never call an episode of Fringe confusing. They might even come to appreciate media that does not spoon feed everything to you.

Dear Steampunk, I haven’t forgotten about you. Frankly, with all the coverage you’re getting these days, it’s hard to ignore you. I did get a little sidetracked, but I’m back. We still have so many costume possibilities to cover. Though some people think that steampunk is a fad, I know that many of us will [...]

After watching this episode I’ve realized two things about The Vampire Diaries. 1) This show as the best pacing of a series. Ever. 2) I like this show. I like it a lot.

By Mike Brendan – It was all just a dream. I’ve never been a big fan of that trope — always comes across as some sort of cop out, and in SF it can become a “it was all just temporal mishap/psychic warning” plot device that allows the writers to keep actual plotting for that episode to a minimum.

As part of my geeky heritage, I enjoy staging fantasy fights. Khan Noonien Singh vs. Ming the Merciless. Pris vs. Six. Serenity vs. the Millennium Falcon. You get the idea. You’ve probably done it before, too. With The Fall, the second installment of Guillermo del Toro’s and Chuck Hogan’s vampire trilogy, I found myself pitting their parasite-based, bloodsuckers against some other current vampires.

By The Sisters Sardonic – One of the Sisters’ favorite shows came back to us recently and oh, how we have missed it. Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files premiered after a brief hiatus. This is the show that brought us one of our most freaked-out, what-was-that moments. They introduced us to what we lovingly and terrifyingly refer to as “the clothespin monster,” a bizarre bipedal creature that could not be identified. Look up the episode “Unwanted Visitors/Strange Sightings” and prepare to be freaked. If it doesn’t freak you out, well, FRIENDSHIP OVER.

I am not apologizing for taking ages to write this one because Fable 3 came out then there was Halloween and I dropped of the face of the earth for a bit. Also considering the ending of the premiere, it was very likely that the episode was going to focus mostly on what happened to [...]

By DR Hanson – Yes, you do look small town to me. Don’t ask questions you don’t want to know the answers to, Kate Freelander. God, I hate you. You know what it is, it’s your wardrobe. The black cut off gloves and hippie shirts don’t do it for me and I question your thievery, so it’s a really good idea to do a heist episode.

I still get a kick out of zombies and will pretty much give anything with zombies a decent shot. Even Zombie Strippers which, in the On Demand menu, sounded like a campy romp and turned out to be a deeply misogynist poopfest. Thankfully, The Walking Dead is far superior to Zombie Strippers.
Full Story »By WorldofHiglet – Ms Day took part in a Syfy conference call and answered questions about Red, her upcoming role in Syfy’s Eureka and what the future holds for The Guild and her other work. It is obvious she enjoyed the challenges of the Red. She worked out every day and made her dad very happy by spending time on the gun range with him for the first time to practice. It was physically demanding and she was covered in bruises, but is something she would love to do again.
