This situation actually happened after SDCC 2009 but before Amazon and iTunes general release. I deleted my tweet, and have no way to search for Mo's tweets from that long ago, but still have the DMs from the guild.

Actually, I had forgotten this part – I see the very intial Guild response to it, on Aug 7, was that Brian retweeted my tweet – but then half an hour later I was asked to delete my tweet. Brian deleted his retweet, and I guess they tried to have all the retweets deleted.

I conclude that Mo tweeted somewhere between the 7th and the 15th of August.

Maybe interesting only in that it offers a perspective on the Guild's marketing approach to Date My Avatar. Certainly surprise and blitz were part of the approach; so it surprised me both that S4 debuted before Comic-Con this year, and that the second series of Guild comics was announced early by Dark Horse too. Different strategies this year.

You know, while fans will know what "Cheetos to Stripper Bus" refers to, and it's a funny title, it might give the wrong idea to those unfamiliar. Cheetos to Music Video Stars? Well obviously that's a boring title. Sorry. Cheetos to Pop Stars? Sorry. (Oh, now I sound like the neighbor on "Ideal", ever watch that BBC comedy? Sorry. Manchester and all, thought you might know the show. I have to watch it with captions on! Between the accent and the idioms and local references, quite a challenge. Sorry.)

I stumbled on the mp3 on Amazon for sale as a pre-order complete with a 30-second sample, a couple of weeks before the video was officially announced, proceeded to tweet about it in a rare (for me) moment of tweetness, and was DM'd by @TheGuild to please delete the tweet. They had a plan to control the announcement, presumably to generate the maximum buzz. Slightly embarrassed, I complied – and then a couple of days later, Maurissa tweeted a link to the same pre-order, which I found amusing since I didn't think that was part of their rollout plan either – but who knows. Maybe it was.

Okay, so my tale has to qualify as one of the lesser stories from the annals of history. And I guess doesn't belong as a comment to Part 1, jumping ahead of your story. Arrgh. Are you going to delete my post? Hah!

Maybe I missed it, but I think this still hasn't shown up in my Google Alert->Reader feed which usually picks up anything related you write no matter where it appears. Odd.

The book is partially written so when we've finished this new webseries we're making it's next on the list to be completed and either an ebook or Print On Demand or some such way of getting it out there.

And 'Will the Vampire People…" is one of the books I cited as evidence that it would work for publishers
