True Blood S3 Premiere: Driving Me to Distraction

I’d like to be able to write something coherent about this season three premiere of True Blood, but whenever I try to string together a sentence, I’m thwarted by Eric Northman’s butt. And Bill’s hairy, shirtless chest. And Sam’s hairy, shirtless chest.

How the hell am I supposed to concentrate when there’s this?

And this?

And this?

Then there’s Jason Stackhouse (I don’t have nekkid pic of him this week, sorry) who manages to be nice to look at without being attractive to me.

Since I can’t organize my thoughts, I’m going to have to do a bullet list:

  • I love Pam. There. I said it. I love that she stands up to Eric and isn’t bowled over by Sookie. I love her outfits. I loved her “maybe I wear too much pink” line. She’s fabulous and I hope we see more of her.
  • Sookie is annoying and not because of her constant role as damsel in distress. She’s so sanctimonious. I find her to be the least interesting character in the show.
  • Please bring back season one Tara. S1 Tara rocked. It’s been painful to see her deteriorate and degenerate since her exorcism. I’d like to see her pull through this crisis and regain some bit of who she used to be.
  • Andy + Jason = Comedy Gold. I loved their dynamic when they teamed up toward the end of season two and am glad to see that they’ll be linked again this season.
  • Eric Northman nekkid = win. 6+ hours of vampire sex, though, just sounds really uncomfortable.

Annnnd I just knocked my mind off track again. Can’t complain. I did it to myself.

Lisa Fary is a graduate of the creative writing program at Florida State University and holds an advanced degree in Special Education. Her earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She’s angry that it’s 2010 and she still doesn’t have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

    * Sam's dream was soooo hot. And also hilarious. But mostly hot.
    * Pam used to annoy me, but she's getting really fun this year.
    * Eric continues to be super sexy, and now his sense of humor is starting to shine. Win.
    * I'd have to say that Andy + Terry = Comedy Gold. The Bellefleur boys are just so dissimilar, but they clearly care about each other and want to help each other in their own dysfunctional ways.
    * Tara needs an infusion of her season 1 moxie, stat. Hopefully Lafayette can help with that.
    * I need more Lafayette in general. Nelsen Ellis has been one of my favorite wacky sidekick actors since The Inside, and he should be around all the time. :)

*Naked Eric is always a win in my book.
*And all of the sexy, shirtless men? Yes, please!
*I love Pam's sense of humor coming through finally.
*I want more Jessica this season!
*Tara definitely needs to return to her stronger self. I was very annoyed at her all last season.
*More wackiness and ham this season! When the show doesn't take itself seriously, it's more enjoyable!

Oh naked Eric. Damn, just drooled on my laptop.
