Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

I am really liking the new and improved Hurley this season, taking action and standing up for himself! One thing that bothered with Jack destroying the mirrors is the total lack of curiosity for the wheel full of names. Maybe you could pause for a second and examine this thing that is obviously very important! And why didn't Hurley notice the numbers!!!!

Also, Claire just might have more hair on her chest than Jack!

Yeah, the David ex machina was really out of left field. I mean, if Jack's got a kid, why was said kid never even mentioned in the time when he was shackin' up with Kate and Aaron? Okay, so he's (presumably) off at the conservatory becoming a brilliant pianist during that time, but still. It was a nice bit of plot that David inherited his father's and grandfather's talented hands, though.

Still not loving Crazy!Claire and her being all buddy-buddy with the smoke monster. While it's nice to see the tiny blonde wielding an ax rather than cowering in a corner, does she have to be nutso to do it?

Hurley, on the other hand, is becoming truly awesome again. He's embraced the insanity of his life, but is not enslaved by it. I love him giving Jacob lip and pushing back. I love him caring about his friends' well-being more than his own or whatever destiny Jacob has in mind for any of them. He was definitely the hero of the piece this week, no matter how much screen time Doc Shephard got.

Is there anyone who loves that Jack busted the mirror? He's finally saying that he won't play any cryptic jungle games. Either he gets some straight answers, or he will punch you in the face. I love it. It's a breath of fresh air. Nobody on the islands deserves a punch than Jacob, imo(even after the whole stabbing thing). If it were me, I think my curiosity would be all tapped out. Hurley shoulda been like "hey Jacob, you want a gopher, I want some serious answers". To me that's the heroic thing to do, not to blindly follow, which is what Hurley always does. That would be growth for him. He should stab that smug asian dude too.

It seems like Jack's the only person who got the "this is the last season memo quit the mythology building and tell stories about characters while deconstructing things ". Everyone else is on cryptic nonsense overdrive. As far as Jack having a kid, the point is that they changed the past years before they were born. This means there are bound to be timeline discrepancies. Plus, when has Lost been known to deny an opportunity for Daddy issues.

Also, people have said this season reminds them of season 1 terms of story-telling(including the creators). In season one, the flashbacks were filled with epic life changing events. Hurley won the lotter and his store exploded, Kate blew her dad up, Sayid torchered people, Charlie was a drug addict…It goes on. What do we have right now. Jack's son plays the piano, John Locke looks for a job, and Kate's and Claire become bff's.

Also, when people wandered the through the jungle, it was tired to human drama. Claire getting kidnapped or Ethan not being on the manifest. This season, it's all "hey wanna see something cool, lets walk there and chat for half the ep"
