Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

Oh, The Thing! Damn you, Kurt Russell for being so cute as a younger man. (Wouldn't say boo to young Keith David, neither.)

I probably would've gone with the first X-Files movie for Antarctica, but the point definitely stands.

They were predicting Snowpocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo up here in New England yesterday, resulting in all kinds of blizzard-panic and school cancellations, but we only ended up with about half an inch of accumulation. Most of it wasn't even making it to ground level. Which made me sad, 'cause a bunch of us are going skiing this weekend.

I know how you feel about the snow! Last year this area had three feet in one day and the entire city shut down. It was nice to have some extra days off. I holed up in the house watching the entire Sex and the City series on DVD. :) This year we have almost no snow, which is so so nice. Hopefully you will make it through this Snowpocalypse and next year it will be easy peasy.
