Just over a week to go until the new series from Syfy, Caprica, bursts onto our screens. Continuing our Caprica Countdown, which is packed full of must-have* information about the series. Eight Daggetts Missing
Come on, now – admit it. You wanted to see daggetts in the re-imagined BSG, didn’t you? I know I did, if only to see how they were going to deal with the difficulty with daggetts. Not only would they undoubtedly become the focus of a massive love/hate war that would cleft the fandom in twain, there would be all sorts of technical problems to overcome. Make them completely CGI? Working models? Puppets? Or a small person in a suit? Yes, you can see why they steered clear of all that.
But…What about Caprica? When I headed (the wrong way, as it turns out. Repeatedly.) to the Caprica panel I was clutching my single question. I wanted to know whether there would be daggetts in Caprica because it seemed to me that they were probably the step before the Cylons. I had my chance and asked Eric Stoltz. And that’s when it all started to go…Oh! It appears I’ve run out of space. You’ll have to find out the answer on the 22nd when my report from the Caprica set is published. See you tomorrow!

I could imagine there being daggetts in Caprica if they were like those Pleo baby dino robots. (So cute!)
