Gah! So good! Is it Saturday again yet?!

That last shot had me literally bouncing in my seat and squealing (even if it was a complete ripoff of the Senate from the Star Wars prequels). And Wilf! And Lucy! And crazy crazy Master! I've been watching some classic Who to tide me over, but I have a feeling I'll be watching 'End of Time' at least once more before the second half airs. :)

Wasn't it amazing?! How effed up is The Master and that plan of his?! Answer: VERY!

I, too, am very excited for Steven Moffat - "Blink" is probably one of my favorite episodes of anything EVER - but I have to say I am going to miss Russell Davies' hand on this show. Let's not forget that he's the one responsible for giving us our modern Who in the first place. He's the reason why I fell in love with this world in the first place, and I'll miss his touch on these scripts. Again, though, I am indeed excited for new blood.

I will definitely let you know how I feel about the third and fourth Doctors! And I totally realize that with every new Doctor, there is an "uproar". I actually wasn't sure I was going to like Tennant, because I loved Eccleston so much. But by the third episode of the second series, I was completely won over. :)

The fact that Steven Moffat approves of this new guy is all I need, honestly. The man wrote "Blink." I totally trust his judgment. :)

I've been a Whovian all my life, so of course I'm looking forward to 'End of Time'. (Hopefully, it won't make me sob quite as much as 'Children of Earth' did this summer.) Took BBCA long enough to realize that we wanted the new content n.o.w. and would get it by any means if they wouldn't supply it in a timely fashion.

"...before he regenerates into a kid with an emo haircut."

Since you came to the fandom after the last transition, you missed the whole uproar over Chris Eccleston being replaced by a kid with a floppy haircut, but it happened. It happens pretty much every time the Doctor regenerates. And then people get over it after a couple episodes. (I think the only major casting decision that made fans unhappy and stuck was Eric Roberts as the Master in the 1996 Fox TV movie. If it had been a BBC series rather than a two-hour Americanized hybrid, I'm sure even he could've been made likeable.)

I'm glad to hear that you're mostly enjoying old-school Who. If you're watching them in order, let us know when you get to the late Jon Pertwee (#3) / early Tom Baker (#4) era. I'd love to know what you think of Sarah Jane Smith. :) Not to mention Sylvester McCoy (#7)'s companion, Ace. She's my very favorite from the classic series. Slight spoiler -- she carries explosives.
