Transcript: SCENE FIVE
Title and establishing shot: Madge sitting at her desk, holding up an antique, signed photo of Peter Weller.
Janet and Bob are back in the squad room from their call, relaying the events to Madge and Tulla.
MADGE: You said it was a hold up.
JANET: The caller didn’t express himself well.
BOB: When he said, “Lou’s holding up the pharmacy,” he didn’t mean it like an actual hold up.
Old dude sound asleep in a hoverchair, in front of an emergency exit door. Bob continues the story.
BOB (off panel): Lou Bennett fell asleep waiting in line with his hoverchair stuck in “park”. They couldn’t get him out of the way. Line was backed up to the street!
JANET: I wanted to nail him for reckless endangerment. He was blocking an emergency exit, too.
MADGE: What stopped you?
JANET: Sgt. Bob.
BOB: The old guy didn’t mean any harm.
Cap is standing in his office door listening. He puts his two cents in.
CAP: Sgt. Moore, this isn’t Green Squadron. You can look the other way around here.
JANET: Sir, I’m bred to uphold every law, no matter how small.
Madge nudges Tulla and whispers.
MADGE: Hear that? She’s bred. Freakin’ test tube cops!
