Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

    I'm kind of over zombies at this point, but The Vampire's Assistant looks amusing, as does Aladin. I hadn't even heard of Whip It, but it's definitely on the must-see list now.

    None of the others really grab me, and Wild Things makes me downright nervous. I don't recognize my beloved childhood book beyond the appearance of Max and the wild things. :(

    i am SUPER psyched for the vampire's assistant! and i know what you mean by wild things, but the previews make it look pretty magical, no?
