Buffy vs. Edward
I am ashamed to admit that I have read all of the Twilight books. In case you were wondering, I was firmly on Team Jacob until he forced Bella to kiss him. From that point on, I had no team. However, I am glad Bella and Edward ended up together, because I thought Book 4 was bad ass. I know I’m in the minority on that one.
As a huge fan of Buffy, it was hard for me not to notice how many plot points had already been covered by our favorite blonde vampire slayer. Apparently, someone else noticed too, and he made this nifty little video that I think Twilight haters and lovers alike can enjoy. It’s amazing what a difference it makes to have an active heroine instead of, well, Bella.

That was awesome! I haven't read the Twilight series (mostly for fear of throwing my roommate's books across a room in anger), and I only watched the movie under duress, so seeing someone call the creators out for their bullshit makes me very happy.
(Although it did reinforce that Buffy made some unwise dating choices, too. But at least she saw stalking for what it was.)

This video is superb and the way it would have went, had Edward gone to Sunnydale. Pity he didn't. I thank the gods for James Marsters, Josh Whedon, and the other Buffy writers. Spike is the reason why I can't watch Edward without shaking my head and walking away. Sorry, Edward. William the Bloody got there first and did it 100 times better than you ever will. As for Angel…bored now.

I like the use of the convenience of the fact that that young actor played in this vampire movie as well as that other movie about the wizard with that scar thing on his head. Either way, Buffy rocks.
