I hate hate hate that Jason is getting mixed up with such a horribly intolerant group. I know that he's not too bright, but I thought that his experience with Amy and Eddie – not to mention the whole Rene/Drew situation – last season would've made him run screaming from the likes of Steve Newlin and his awful cult. Speaking of which, it's really disconcerting to see Michael McMillian being so creepy as the preacher boy. I'm used to seeing him play sweet guys who like everybody.

Really, the only thing I didn't like about the season premiere was the whole Sookie/Bill thing, but that's weirded me out in a Bella/Edward way since the beginning. And it's probably not going away, so I forebear in favor of the horror and mystery parts. I've just never been a fan of the borderline-obsessive, codependent thing that seems to have become common in supernatural romance, particularly where there are vampires involved. Then again, like most TV series, I find the main character to be the least interesting. Give me the morally gray sidekicks any day.
