Wife and I are halfway through rewatching (Going throug the whole series in order for the… 10th, 11th time lmao) Season 3.
We may just catch up with this!
But to the point –
I LOVED Riley – I thought he was good for Buffy, even de-powered he served as an anchor for her.
I hated his exit and thought it felt forced. The whole “bite” thing was so out of character for him, it’s one of the few things (Most of which, I’ve found through reviewing to be Marti Noxon episodes) that piss me off in the series.
Buffy <3!
I found rileys exit very sad also, i nearly cried, i think its the fact that buffy didnt care if he left, and niether did the audience, but THEEN xander gave that whole big speech, then i was like… NOOO!!!! get riley back, and we were just as desperte as buffy, it tugged the heart strings but was great tv, I think sunday was a cool vamp, the only thing i disagree with in this review thingy, is that buffy wouldnt have low self asteem, (Angel just left her, she is boyfriendless after a whirlwind romance, Giles sed she cant depend on him nymore, willow is pre-occupied with college and oz, buffy is in a new place, with bitchy evil teachers and a big bunch of strangers + vamp activity) – that would definatly effect my confidence a little.
