Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

Oh, wow, I read volumes 1 through 9 of Pet Shop of Horrors, but could not find the tenth volume anywhere! (my library failed me, greatly…who has vol. 1-9, but not the final one??) Also, I understand what you meant, how it's creepy and, to me, if you had a nightmare concerning one of D's pets…Well, you'd probably scream yourself awake. But, I absolutlely loved the manga. It was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Which is odd, since I believe I was 12 or 13 when I started reading it…Great article!
