If you visited Pink Raygun last night, you may have seen a pornographic banner at the top of the page. This was the result of hacker activity on our ad network. The images have been removed.
We apologize that your regularly scheduled Pink Raygun reading was marred by inappropriate images.
Pink Raygun has never run pornography and has no intentions of doing so. We do not support that content on our website in any way and we will not spam your email with that type of content. If you do receive email with this inappropriate content, please notify us.

I'm sorry this happened to your site – and I hope your ad network is suitably apologetic! I've never seen anything remotely like that on your site and I'm really glad you have posted this message to put everyone's mind at rest.
We are apologetic.
Am I the only one that's a little disappointed this was just hacker shenanigans?
your kidding???
I missed it????
darn…
I better check here more than I do..
plus, O love you guys, keep up the good work….
On the one hand, I'm outraged that this happened. Outraged!
On the other hand, I'm curious enough to wish I'd seen what it was.
It was only viewable if you were browsing from a non-US IP (which is one of the ways they slipped it by us for a little while, because we had to rely on reports from readers to even find it). And it was vile. But now it is gone.
