He’s kind of like the Doogie Hauser of Time Lords.

Matt Smith has a fairly impressive resume under his belt, in both TV and stage work. As long as the writers – and the more rabid of the fans – remember he is a gawd-knows-how-old-alien in a human-seeming body, he should do just fine.
He has an interesting face with some strong bonestructure, and he is not a pretty boy. Which is good. On a shallow note, when he regenerates I hope he grows some eyebrows…
I didn't even notice that his eyebrows are nonexistent!
The non-existent eyebrows are a great source of "lolz" in the Doctor Who fandom. Already. It's been, like, two days. It's sort of awesome.
I try to reserve judgment until I see him as the actual Doctor, but he sure does seem awfully young to me.
