My Wow Wish List
by John Zakour

Since it’s that time of the year I thought I would put together my WoW wish list.  Things I would like to see added or changed about WoW over the coming updates.  I am hoping Santa Blizzard is watching!

  • Either decrease the flying times between destinations or let us do something while flying on one of the public transport birds. There is nothing more boring that a seven minute griffin flight especially when none of your guild buddies are on to chat with. I can see no good from long flight times.  They certainly don’t make me say, “oh wow that was a fun seven minutes of doing nothing. I really want to keep giving Blizzard my 15 dollars every month.” At least let us eat or drink or work on our professions or do something while flying the friendly skies.
  • I’d love to see a “camp on” feature on certain spawns. This way if you get there and somebody else is already killing your intended target you can camp on to a queue making sure that you get your rightful turn at killing the mob when he she or it respawns. Few things are worse than spending five or six minutes sitting there waiting for a creature to spawn and then having somebody flying into the scene and tag the mob before you get a chance. A “camp on” would insure this would become a first come first serve encounter.
  • I believe they have increased the speed characters now run when they are dead, this is a step in the right direction. It would be nicer if they would increase this speed even more. No need for delays in getting back to our bodies. I don’t need (or want) time to contemplate my mistakes. I just want to get back to my body as soon as possible to right what I did wrong. (Either that or to just run away.) I understand there needs to be some penalty for death but we would all still learn our lessons if our undead bodies ran twice as fast.
  • Give us two specs or cut the price of re-spec-ing. I understand there has to be cost but 50 gold can get a little steep, especially since different goals call for different specs. It would be nice if we could have a PvP spec and a PvE spec or something along those lines. Also while choosing your talents it would be really really really nice if you could back track out and unselect a talent after you click on it. Once I accidentally clicked the wrong talent and the only way I could get rid of it was to pay the darn 50 gold and respec all over again. (It’s possible I am missing something here and there is a way to deselect a talent if there is somebody please tell me!)
  • More tanks. It is so hard to find a good tank (especially one without and attitude) and a good tank makes all the difference in the world. Sometimes I wish Blizzard would give us non-player tank characters. Generic tanks that parties could add when they really need one more member. I know this may be tough to accomplish from the programming point of view, but they could be controlled like pets by the party leader. Not an ideal solution but it beats the heck out of waiting 30 minutes to find a tank.
  • Finally, (and this is a greedy wish), It would be great if us mages could have useful pets or familiars. I am not talking offense pets like Hunters or god forbid Warlocks. What I am talking about is companions that when present could maybe boost our stats like spell power or crits or maybe even act a decoy. No matter what it would at least give us mages somebody to talk to during long griffin flights.

I hope you all have a happy and safe and merry Winter’s Veil.
