Cool, thanks for the tip (feels like an idiot for not checking the Pete's Dragon credits)! I need to watch that movie again, it's been over a decade. When I think Jim Dale, I think Harry Potter. XD

I was greatly amused by all the references to the Disney movie Pete's Dragon: the McQuoddys, th lighthouse, use of the name Elliot (and maybe the fact that he was a semi-orphaned young boy), the return of a lover thought lost to the sea, the caves, the song "Candle on the Water", even the barrel .... Does anyone know if there was a particular reason for the homage?

I can sort of understand Chuck reverting to her little girl self in the face of her reanimated dad, but Charles really needs to be re-deaded soon. He poses too much of a danger to our gang with his rebellious ways and failure to realize that he'll freak people out with his corpse face. Plus, his demand that Ned and Chuck stop seeing each other is completely unreasonable, given the sacrifices and clever adaptations they've made just to be together.

I really hope that Bryan Fuller and co. have managed to wrap up all the existing storylines in the remaining episodes, because it would just kill me to have these mysteries linger on forever. Given how well they did with Wonderfalls, I'm going to assume that they planned accordingly for Pushing Daisies as well. (But I might be crossing certain body parts, just in case.)

When does the DVD set come out?

After this episode, I'm crossing my fingers that the network recognizes that a spinoff show, Cod and Snook, P.I.'s would be a brilliant idea. They could still investigate all sorts of quirky mysteries, but could do so without all that icky corpse re-animation that makes the viewing public stay away from Pushing Daisies in droves.

And besides, all the networks know how to do is cop/medica/legal dramas anyway - so they wouldn't have to hurt their pretty little heads thinking about something with *gasp* fantasy/horror elements.

I find myself disliking Chuck more and more, and hoped that she would go off with her dad. She and Ned, although their love story is touching, are only holding each other back. And her dad!! Certainly not a good guy - he was buddies with Dwight Dixon, after all.
