Sylvia Bond is a ten-year technical writing veteran with too many degrees under her belt to count. She lives in Colorado, but does not ski, preferring instead to spend her money and time at the annual Great American Beer Festival, taking road trips across the United States, and reading historical fiction from the comfort of her fluffy green arm chair. She has been involved in fandom since 1993 and been writing fanfic since approximately 1993. What she finds most amazing about fandom (besides the open heartedness of fans and the sheer amount of creativity) is how visible fandom has become. "In my day," she says, "we had to hide behind P.O. boxes to get fanfic. But nowadays, people wear t-shirts that shout their affiliation and share their shiny toys on the internet." It's a wonderful world.

Beautifully written, Sylvia. My favourite parts are always your Samhair descriptions … so hilarious and so true. I got the Stars Hollow reference right away and Sam/Jared's reaction really cracked me up.
Word also, Sam and Dean forever … that is how this Show should end. TPTB better be listening or there literally will be hell to pay.
All the best,
Tonia
Hey, thank you, and oh my WORD, his hair is fabulous. And it's different each time! I love his hair. Does it show? : D
Sam and Dean forever. Always. On the road preferably. In one peice, hopefully. In the Impala, most assuredly.
Regards,
Sylvia
Hey! Yeah, it was lovely, just lovely to have the whole weekend off. My webmaster takes good care of me, I'd say.
I'll look forward to your comments!
Regards,
Sylvia
Walter and Flagg? Interesting. Very oblique Stephen King references?
Hi Tonia. I hope you are doing well. I LOVE your ending for the show. We can only hope Kripke reads this wonderful blog. LOL
Take care, Joan
Syl, I loved this review, especially since this isn't one of my favorite eps. You pointed out some great reasons why it should stand higher in my viewpoint, and I agreed with you on just about everything. The boys DO look wonderful, even though Sam does seem to be mourning Madison–who they actually mention at the beginning of this ep, amazingly enough!
Hi Sylvia
I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful break. And, I am glad to hear your webmaster takes care of you because you are awesome! I know I am not the only one you feels this way. We all feel comfortable visiting here and sharing our love for all things WInchester.
Now back to the episode.
I have to admit, I haven't seen this particular episode in quite some time. But, I thought it was hilarious. I loved all of the inside jokes and Dean's joy at being a PA. He was like a kid in a candy store. Plus… HE ATE A LOT! And, the ending..where Sam and Dean walked away in the sunset. Priceless. Okay…I can't wait to rewatch this one again.
Last weekend, I FINALLY retrieved my Season 2 DVD set and I began rewatching the episodes again. I needed to do something to get through this long hiatus. I started at the beginning and I rewatched 'In My Time of Dying", "Everybody Loves a Clown" and "BloodLust". And, I cheated and re-watched "NightShifter" just because that one rocked my world and still rocks my world. BEST ENDING EVER!!!!
To be continued
Anyway, here is a list of all things Winchester…from the four episodes I rewatched.
Since I am straying from the topic at hand, which is the "Hollywood Babylon" episode, I will keep this short. Plus, you have already reviewed these episodes. But, I had to point out what I loved, from each episode, because there was a lot to savor. My condensed list:
1. Dean in hospital jammies (SIGH)
2. Dean and Sam and the ouija board
3. The Dad and his sacrifice
4. Dean smashing the Impala
5. Gordon
6. The impala restored and our boys on the road
7. Dean's love 'for his metal baby girl'
8. Dean and Sam cruising in the beat up van SNORT!
9. Ellen (I miss her)
10. Jeffrey Dean Morgan…….SIGH again
11. Sam's hair in 'Everybody Loves a Clown'
12. Sam's reaction when he sat down in the clown chair
13. The Dad cremated…That scene hurt.
14. Sam trying to get Dean to open up to him
15. Ronald
16 STYX!!!!!!
That's all for now.
Take care, Joan
I had to one more thing….You have such a gift, Sylvia. Your writing is so eloquent and articulate. You bring life to Dean and Sam and you make me fall in love with them all over again whenever I read your reviews. You capture moments and details and conversations I somehow miss the first time I watch an episode so when I go back and rewatch the episodes again, I enjoy them even more. I am sure I miss things because I get lost in the beauty of Jensen and Jared and the Dad and the Soap Angel.
Thanks so much for allowing all of us to share our joy with you because you love this little show as much as we do.
This is my safe haven. And, this is my favorite place to visit. I am so grateful to your friend from Houston who 'forced' you to re-watch Supernatural again!
Joan
Hey, good one. I know there's a Randall Flagg in The Stand, but who's Walter?

Sylvia
