I was so pleased to see the return of Marianne Marie (from Bryan Fuller's previous short-lived series, Wonderfalls), even if she was a bit more villainous this time around. But I think my favorite part of this episode was the flashback at the beginning. Young Ned had companionship once more, even if it was just a brief, shining moment. He discovered that the talent inherited from his mother brings people joy, and was inspired to devote his life to that end. :)
