It's a little thing amongst all the pain, but don't forget the ridiculousness of having Ando translate the Japanese that was already subtitled. As if the conversation between Hiro and Seth Green was so profound that we needed to repeat it?

It takes a lot to get me to give up on a show, but these episodes pretty much did me in. Good luck getting me to watch again in the new year.

Well, Fuller returning is his decision/desire, not by any special request of Kring (not that I can see from Fuller's own words). My hope is that Fuller can bring some of the magic back. Because I'm sick to death of seeing one of my favorite shows from Season One continue to flail around like this.

I beg to differ! There is great benefit! I make sure I'm not just going insane and that this really is one of the worst turns the show has ever taken. I'm also a completionist, so I can't just walk away, much as I'd like.

They're rushed. They took the threat of cancellation to heart and it terrified all the people who were still on the high from season one where they were a stand-out awesome show. So they've thrown patience and steadiness to the wind and just attacked every aspect with Intense! Drama! And we've all tuned out as a result.

I could like Sylar again if he just said, literally, to the camera, "This good-guy stuff is bullsh*t; I'm going back to cutting open heads." Poor Zach Quinto doesn't get the benefit of having a steady character upon which to base his performance. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be.

I almost don't want Fuller to return--they haven't left him anything to work with. It would be an insult to continue off of Pushing Daisies and come to work on this show. Glargh.

I'm hoping that this Intense Debate system that we're running our comments on gets the comment length thing figured out. I'm hopeful - Barack Obama's change.gov site uses this system - if anything, that will provide plenty of motivation for ID's developers to pull their heads out and fix things.

It's so sad when a once-great show deteriorates before your very eyes.
If they can't revive it, they need to put it out of it's misery quickly and painlessly.
There are so few good things out there to watch, I wonder what the heck happened here.
I'm not a "fan" fan of the series, more a casual viewer, and don't know the behind the scenes stuff, but I haven't been watching lately and have several friends who have also stopped.

You just need to stop watching. There is no benefit to watch and then pick everything apart. Find another show to watch. Personally, I enjoyed last nights episode a lot.

It wouldn't let me do just one! Apparently I type too much. Anyway, to continue wit the 'thingies' Heroes needs to make a smoother Sylar transition from bad to good:

1. Spike was never that bad.
-Like, destroy the world bad. Angel(us) wanted to destroy the world. Spike liked the world, he liked eating people. Sylar was a Big Bad, therefore it would take a lot longer for him to become good. Which leads me to my next point:

2. They're making Sylar too good, too quickly.
-Spike wasn't a world destroyer but he was still bad. It took him 3 1/2 seasons before you felt like he was good enough not to hurt the heroes and six season before you believed he was truly good. Sylar turned good within a matter of minutes. Yeah...no. I can't believe it.

I can't hate Sylar. I just can't.

Maybe I should just say I can't hate Quinto. I can't! I love him! *teen girl sob*

In regards to Sylar, I feel like they might be trying to pull a Spike (from Buffy). Over the course of 6 seasons Spike changed from baddie to goodie. This may be what Heroes is trying to do with Sylar. However, they're missing a few key thingies:

How far Heroes has fallen. On the plus side: the cancellation of Pushing Daisies and Brian Fuller's intent to return to the writing staff of Heroes holds great promise. Fuller's guiding hand gives the characters personality and motivations that make sense. Without Fuller, Heroes has devolved into characters acting unlike anything recognizable as they travel from plot point to plot point.

When this show premiered I said 'at least it's not so bad that it'll ruin all super hero speculative fiction on network tv.'

My opinion in that regard has changed.
