Meet Your New Doctor (image after the jump):
There hasn’t been an official announcement from the BBC yet, but word is that Paterson Joseph will be the Eleventh Doctor in the upcoming fifth series of Doctor Who.
Joseph previously appeared as Rodrick in the series one episodes “Bad Wolf” and “The Parting of the Ways”. He is currently starring the post-apocalyptic drama Survivors on BBC.

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram. 
Huh. Interesting choice. (Something I probably would've said no matter who they cast. ::eyeroll::) I'm not that familiar with his work outside of Who, but he's been in a number of things I've been meaning to watch.
The question now is: who will be his companion(s)?
I'm sad to see David go, the new Dr. has some big shoes to fill in this Fangirl's humble opinion
