I believe Mallozzi mentioned the actress who played Conrad is actually from New Zealand, hence the thick but not quite Aussie/British sounding the accent.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! I have to admit that, while I don't at all mind Lorne paired with others, I have a certain fondness for Lorne/Parrish — perhaps because it kind of echoes McShep, the soldier/geek dynamic. That may be why I also like Lorne/Zelenka ….

I liked this episode too, although I wanted to know more about Shep, i.e., What is he running from? Why does he torture himself? Guess I'll have to turn to fanfic, as you say, to find that answer. I've replayed the Shep/Kolya scenes several times and got a kick out of the little McShep moments too.
And to you, who are about to sacrifice an hour of your life for us, your loyal readers, my thoughts and prayers (and barf bucket) are with you as you watch Brainstorm tomorrow! I know I won't be able to, so am grateful for your courage and fortitude. (but I would completely understand if you just can't take it and watch a recording of The Shrine or something)
