Election Day Snack Time

After you’ve done your civic duty today, have snack time with coffee, donuts, and ice cream.

Retailers are giving away freebies to voters today. Here’s the scoop:

Starbucks

Go to your local Starbucks on November 4th, tell them you voted, and they’ll give you a free tall coffee. Be conscientious about it. Don’t get your free coffee, then go to the other Starbucks across the street for another free coffee.  That’s just poopy and ruins it for everyone.

Ben & Jerry’s

Participating Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops will give voters a free scoop of ice cream between 5PM and 8PM.  Find your nearest scoop shop here.

Now, if only they’d bring back American Pie ice cream.  I know American Pie was part of the company’s campaign to bring attention to the grossly misplaced priorities of federal spending, but fiscal awareness was never so tasty.

Krispy Kreme

I’ll never forgive myself for not going to the Krispy Kreme shops in Tucson more often before they filed for bankruptcy and the buildings were bought by Chik-fil-a.  Waffle cut fries just do not hold a candle to the magic of hot donuts now.  If you vote today, Krispy Kreme has a hot gift for you.

Participating Krispy Kreme donut shops will give a free star-shaped donut with red, white, and blue sprinkles to customers wearing their “I Voted” stickers.  Find a Krispy Kreme location here.

I don’t care why you do it, just get out there and do it.  Go vote.  Right now.

  1. I am more than perturbed by the ads all over this page. I know it is randomly generated, but I felt the need to post a comment to combat them…

    VOTE NO ON PROP 8

The proposition does NOT force schools to teach anything about marriage. It does NOT force churches to marry anyone.

What it does is provide gay and lesbian couples with the same fundamental freedoms that straight Californians enjoy.

    Don’t eliminate marriage for anyone.
