I think this ep is just the tip of the iceberg because, really, they just get better from here! And I don’t think you’re shallow at all – if I’d had more word count, you better believe I would have gone into deeper detail about how good the boys looked, whether in suits or in flannel.

This ep also has one of my favorite prettyDean shots. Sam and Dean are getting ready to split up, and Sam is to keep an eye on Ron. It’s right after Sam does his hilarious wordless point at Ron, showing Dean how Ron is out of control. Check out Dean right after he hisses at Ron “out of the light”. He does this slow blink and head-shake combination that is utterly adorable.

Another brilliantly done review, Syl. This, too, is a huge favorite of mine, because of Ron, the ending, the Styx song, and the incomparable way it all came together. Perfection! Love, Robin

On a shallow note, the boys were indeed exceedingly hot in this episode, as themselves, as agents and as SWAT guys. They’re the kinda people that us mere mortals hate because they look good in everything. Bastards.

Still love their FBI agent aliases though! Lol.

I have to commend you on such an awesome review. Yes, the ‘Nightshifter’ episode has to rank as one of the top five episodes on TV period. Everything and I mean everything was right with this episode. It was brilliant.
It was tense and phenomenal and a roller coaster ride. I even think the planets aligned the night that show aired. The ending was ‘one for the books’. ‘Nightshifter’ is how its done. As you know, Supernatural is my favorite show on television and when all of the pieces fall in place, no one can touch Supernatural.

There was so much goodness in Season 2 and ‘Nightshifter’ will stand the test of time.
Ten years from now it will be just as brilliant as it was two years ago. And, I got a real kick out of rewatching it again the night they aired ‘Jus in Bello’. It is one of my favorite episodes in all three seasons and one of my favorite episodes that has ever aired on TV.
