As far as panels go, Josh and I are calling it a day! We will be back on tomorrow with some light coverage of the Con.

6:11 PM

Yay! An electrical outlet!

So the biggest and bestest spoilers for the day came from the Chuck panel. They showed a great clip reel from next season. Some highlights:

  • It looks like Chuck will be training to become a spy himself.
  • Casey is definitely given the order to kill Chuck. And he develops, as someone on the panel said, “a feeling.”
  • Thunderdome fight in the Buy More cage between Jeff and Lester.
  • Chuck’s college girlfriend Jill appears at the most inopportune moment.
  • Bryce comes back.
  • At least two Sarah/Chuck kisses.
  • Hints at a same-sex male kiss involving two of the panel members – Chuck, Morgan, Awesome, Casey – use your imagination!
  • The new Intersect is being built, so there is a possibility Chuck can return to being “Joe Normal” and thus… date Sarah! This, of course, will never actually happen, but the possibility will loom over our two favorite spies and create more fun sexual tension.

During the Fringe panel, they gave confirmation of a comic book related to the series. They also claim to have an “end game,” which is always good to hear on a J.J. Abrams series.

At the Battlestar Galactica panel, they showed a Caprica trailer. It actually took me most of the trailer to figure out what show it was about so… that gives you an idea of how I felt about it. However, I am still excited about the series. It appears to be taking place when the first Cylon was created. A man lost his daughter, and a friend “recreated” her in robot form. The man was not pleased. Drama ensues.

In Whedon news, Joss discussed the new Dollhouse pilot, reaffirming that it was his idea – and NOT the network’s. He felt confident that it would flow organically into the “old” pilot and be a better way to introduce you to the world. The new pilot will play out more like a “typical” Dollhouse episode, including watching Echo on a single mission. It will also feature Eliza in her leather pants and, more importantly, Tahmoh with his shirt off. Joss also assured the audience that the “old” pilot would air in the correct order – directly after the new pilot – and not at the end of the series ala the Firefly debacle.

And there was just a huge – and very loud – hugfest going on nearby. Anyone know why there are so many hug requesters at Comic-Con this year? I’d love to know.

Photos and more tidbits from the panels to come…

4:36 PM

Tony Hale to guest star on Chuck. Big Mike to get a new love interest: Morgan’s mom!

According to Katee, Starbuck “finds peace” at the end of BSG. What does that mean?!

Eliza: “Joss Whedon is a career brassiere.” Comfortable and supportive!

Computer battery dying. Check the Twitter for updates.

Joss in 3 minutes.

Homer Simpson will have trouble voting in this year’s Treehouse of Horror. Lots of celebs in episodes, as always: Denis Leary, Julia Louise-Dreyfuss, Joe Mantegna, Robert Forster and…Seth Rogen, who will also be writing his episode. I’ll bet it’s about a slovenly slacker who gets a hot girl. No plans to end the show anytime soon, the cast just finished the first year of a four year deal. Whee!

Barack Obama will appear in a future Futurama…oh, wait, that might have been a joke.
