Help Me Obi-Mom: Where does she get those wonderful toys?
Dear Obi-Mom,
I have a memorabilia question for you: What websites do you recommend for purchasing good geek-related paraphernalia for my kids (and myself!)?
Thanks!
Lynda in CA
Dear Lynda,
This is a wonderful question! Let me regale you with a list of great sites that cater to us fan-girls (and boys!) and our need to crack-wise using our kids as billboards:
CafĂŠ Press: www.cafepress.com (Want thousands of options? Just search the word âBuffy.â I dare you. And if you canât find the shirt you want â theyâll make it!)
All Movie Replicas: www.allmoviereplicas.com (From posters to busts, this is a great site for memorabilia. Just check out the life-size Terminator exoskeleton. Even if it is just under $6,000, it still rocks.)
The Noble Collection: www.noblecollection.com (Iâve wanted the Harry Potter Time-Turner from these guys forever!)
Things From Another World: www.tfaw.com (Ah, an online comic book store. Nice.)
Think Geek: www.thinkgeek.com (Want a binary code t-shirt? How âbout a blank keyboard or a plush Darth Vader? Think Geek has âem all!)
This is just me getting started. How about we pass it on to the readers? Hey you! The one sitting at the computer with nothing better (or more fun) to do: Where do you like to shop for your fan-girl stuff? Let us know in the comment section below! And thanks, Lynda, for the email!

Rachel Bishop, originally from Oregon and currently living in Utah, is a grant writer and consultant for non-profit arts organizations. She hopes to one day renovate an old theatre somewhere and turn it into an art house cinema joint [anyone want to be an investor?]. Rachel has a BA in Theatre and Media Arts and an MFA in Arts Administration. She enjoys movies, writing, photography, chocolate milkshakes, using her label-maker, guacamole, and the Oxford Comma. She has been married for almost seven years to a self- proclaimed Zombie Cinema expert who enjoys the occasional Lego, and is the mother of a 3-year-old Star-Wars freak and a cute little girly-girl who joined the family in January. By the way, it turned out much better for her than it did for Ripley.
