In both cases, Signs and BG, I think it’s more likely a case of bad writing and a need to wrap up the plot quick.

Or it could be that these mysterious “Programmers” wanted to have a way to shut the Cylons down in a hurry if they got out of control.

Could be a case of sheer arrogance, like the aliens from Signs. They were allergic to water, and yet, showed up NAKED to a planet where 70% of the surface was covered in water.

So why do you think it was that the Cylons can’t simply build another resurrection hub?

No dissin’, just facts. Cheap Trick showed up at the county fair here a few years ago and headlined with a 4H competition (or a demolition derby, maybe a puppet show – I don’t really remember).

Firstly, I’ve seen Cheap Trick live more times than any other band, so don’t be dissin’ Robin & Co (Although am I the only guy who kind of prefers the Jon Brandt years?)

Secondly, while it was undoubtedly a cheap trick to play on the audience, at least they set it up a little bit in advance, and given the meandering lack of direction and (Seemingly) lack of thought put into the show this year, even that little scrap just kind of felt good to me.

It didn’t piss me off nearly as much as it did when they pulled the same stunt on B5 when Gar….hey! There’s one for he other thread! See ya’ there!

I thought the “You’re a Cylon” fake out was a cheap trick (and not the kind of cheap trick that now plays at county fairs). Although, the “you don’t love people” visions seemed to imply that she may as well be a cylon.

I kind of liked the “Roslin is a Cylon” fakeout, simply because the whole “You don’t love people” thing seemed to be kind of implying that she was, but, no, it was all just a setup for the gag. (I for one am glad that she’s not a Cylon, BTW).
