Oh man, Sam’s hair this week really made a statement, didn’t it? On the one hand, it’s hysterically funny, sticking out like that. On the other hand, the more serious hand, it’s a sure indication of how distracted he is, how worried about Dean. I’m sure it wasn’t a mistake. Plus he’s just so durn adorable!

Dear Robin,

Pivital is right. Normally when they have three story lines in the same ep, I get SO confused. But this time, everything came together very well, and I tip my hat to whoever the writer was. (I’ll admit, I seldom look, since to me Show is a whole package that is more than the sum of its parts.) And the ending just about kills me each and every time.

Oh, yeah, I agree! The sunshine was almost a character in and of itself. And I love how Sam’s fear of clowns makes him vulnerable and human. Demons from hell? Sure, no problem. A clown, and Sam’s running for the hills!

Dear Joan,

You’re right, Show keeps us thinking and talking, and that’s part of the fun. Even the older eps have interesting tidbits – but really, this one is worth repeat viewings. Personally, I too get waylaid by the title, but when I go back, WHAM, it hits me right in the heart. They don’t make them like that anymore!

You’re so right about this ep, Syl, it’s one of those that’s often dismissed as “that clown episode.” But it’s a pivotal ep in many ways–the introduction of the Harvelles, Ash and the Roadhouse, John’s burning, the boys’ dealing, or not dealing, with John’s death, the brief Dean-Jo flirtation. It’s jam-packed! Emo-heavy. Brilliant-acting-heavy. And excellent. Love, Robin

Well, I remember the burning and especially the car bashing. I even remember the Roadhouse introduction. I admit I zone a little on the MOW, but this is a beautiful episode.

I still haven't fully recovered from last week's episode.

Last week's episode definitely caused a lot of people to think and intellectualize what occurred. There was a lot of lively discussion! I love a show that makes me think.

Anyway, I have only seen 'Everybody Love's A Clown' one time. I think you said it best when you call it a sleeper. I need to go and re-watch Season 2 again.

I have only seen the Season premiere more than once since it aired the first time.
