Presidential Geek Survey Diary – Day 260

Today, Bush said the war in Iraq is worth it despite the high cost in lives and treasure. Treasure? Does he realize that Nicholas Cage’s National Treasure is not a documentary? I have to wonder if that 57% of undecided voters from 2004 would still want to have that beer with him.

In 2008, pollsters are still attempting to connect the dots between voters and booze and politicians. The most recent attempt related voters’ preferred booze and what that said about their political affiliations.

The results? Beer drinkers are more likely to vote for John McCain, while winos are more likely to vote Democratic.

But, why not get even more specific? Are you more likely to vote for Undead Grampers is you prefer Newcastle Brown? Or do you have to drink dreck like Bud Light? Where does a forty of Old English fall in there? Or Boone’s or Mad Dog on the wine scale?

And what about the political implications of the mojito?

Personally, I like my drinks to be blue. It makes me feel like I’m on the Enterprise drinking Romulan contraband.

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.
