People can argue all they want about souls and what makes a person “real”, but honestly it would be MUCH more disrespectful to Carson’s memory to deny the clone, than it is to accept the clone as Carson.

Who said anything about Earth ? There are more than enough planets with (or without) gates in the milky way for it not to be Earth , and it’s not like they haven’t done it before.
They even have ‘prison’-like planets in the milky way, wht more could we ask for ?

Doh! I’m as thick as Nabel, that hadn’t even occured to me. It would have to be a prison world though, definitely — couldn’t risk him finding his way back to Earth!

She’s met duplicates of herself and her friends that were androids, replicators, from alternate timelines and parallel dimensions, but only her more recent encounters (’Gemini’ and ‘Ripple Effect’ spring to mind) produced “evil twins”. Which has me puzzled, really — are they shooting out of order? Or maybe, since Last Man seems like it will be AU, Paul is there because the future events covered in the second part will include Carson being woken up, and when the timeline is reset he’llbe asleep again? It’s probably a longshot,. but I hope that that’s the case, and that Carson won’t woke up for real until near the end of season 5 for those other 4 eps, so that maybe they can make him a series regular again for season 6 (or at least as recurring as he was in season 1) ….

I kept expecting Halling to show up, since they had Chris around anyway to play Todd and Athosian makeup is a lot easier. The hair wasn’t so much of a surprise for be; he had his head completely shaved in Sanctuary. It was a bit jarring to see on Halling but, given the franchise’s track record with wigs, it’s probably better that they didn’t try to match his look from the first season. My only question is “Where’s Jinto?”

I was envisioning something more like what they did with Nerus on SG-1 — toss him in a cell at Area 51 and interrogate him.

One of the friends I was watching with giggled at that because she’d just noticed the handle on the vests while watching this episode.
