Christmas Day is Geek Harmony Day

For those of you who need more Star Trek in your diet…

THE NEW STAR TREK MOVIE TEASER TRAILER IS OUT!

This happy little Trekkie watched it with a friend on his laptop with the lights turned out and hooked up to his stereo speakers. We practically pissed ourselves with glee.

I have high hopes for the film, despite it being an odd-numbered Star Trek movie, as I have complete trust in JJ Abrams and the cast that’s been chosen.

But the real significance of this movie (other than it being Star Trek, making it inherently awesome) is that it will be bringing the Lost (JJ Abrams produced/directed), Heroes (Zachary Quinto is playing Spock), and Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright fandoms (Simon Pegg is playing Scotty!), not to mention Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle fans (John Cho is playing Sulu) together.

Christmas 2008 will be a good day for Geek Harmony.

Now, is that Mikhail
from Lost in the trailer? He looks different with two eyes. Interesting – he lost his eye while building the Enterprise…
