Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

Wow! What a fantastic review. Clever and witty, but best of all dead on accurate. This is exactly what I thought about the show, only written a lot better. :) I feel like I’m in good company.

Fantastic review! It’s like you were reading my mind because I had the exact same thoughts — and I mean EXACTLY the same thoughts!

    Wonderful analysis.

    Heather,

I just love and admire your witty writing style.
To use the Sound of Music imagery of Julia Andrews sweeping across the hill, was just brilliant when describing the exhileration Coraline brought to the show in episode nine.
So refreshing to see a review of Moonlight, and in particular “Fleur De Lis”, that speaks to exactly how I think about the show in general, and the episode in particular.
There are not many Mick/Coraline fans, most people are wrapped up in the sappy boring Mick/Beth almost relationship. I agree with you, Mick/Beth is played out, and not exciting. Who can love Beth when she’s just a prop as Mick’s love interest?

good observations all the way around.

Wow. Thanks, everyone. I know I tend to be very hard on this show, but I try to give props where props are due. Beth is not beyond saving, so let’s hope the writers will start correcting their mistakes – and quick-like.

I cannot wait for your review of this last Moonlight episode “Sleeping Beauty.” Not sure what you’ll think, but I’m sure it’ll be an entertaining read.
IMO, they really had me confused with Mick’s coldness over Coraline on her death bed.
Especially after the ending of Fleur de lis, and the build up over the entire series about their “passion” and her “hold” on Mick to this very day.
All of a sudden it was like ice.
Also, the Josef story could have been more interesting, but it wound up being nothing more than a vehicle to sell the Mick/Beth forbidden love stuff to us instead of learning more about Josef and his life.
Also, can they stop with the very touching moment at the end of almost every episode with Mick and Beth.
