If elected, the elevators in John McCain’s White House will play nothing but ABBA. Last week, McCain had this to say on the Swedish supergroup:
“Dare I say ABBA. Everybody says, ‘Ehhh, ABBA.’ Why is that? ABBA was the largest selling (recording act ever). Nobody likes them but they sold more records than anybody in the history of the world, including the Beatles. But everybody hates them. (But) you’re a no-class guy if you like ABBA. Why does everybody go see ‘Mamma Mia?’ Hypocrisy! Rank hypocrisy! I’m not embarassed to say I like ABBA, ‘Dancing Queen.’”
That sounds like a fanboy rant, John.
John, you show no fear about expressing your love for ABBA, going so far as to say that “Take a Chance on Me” should be your campaign theme song, so owning up to your favorite superhero should be just one small step from there.
Also, when you think about the lyrics, “Waterloo” is probably a better choice for a campaign theme song.
And, just for the record, ABBA is awesome.
