Chuck is my new TV boyfriend. He’s cute and dorky and would probably even play the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game I have in the game cubby. (Yes, we have a game cubby. I like Super Scrabble, so shut up).
(I do too have the vocabulary for it! Poopy!)
That TV boyfriend tank in the basement is getting a little crowded with the likes of Hugh Laurie and Captain Jack Hot Cakes. Now Chuck is in there. The Bearded Petrelli is working his way in. What’s going to happen when Sayid comes back on Lost? Chuck is the youngest and cream cheesiest – he may get squeezed out.
For now though, Chuck is getting to know the guys. He’s like their puppy.
Chuck grabbed me (oooh) immediately. He’s trying to sneak out of his own birthday party. Then he’s bombarded by LA women, who I imagine were only feigning interest because Chuck’s sister asked them to.
Unless there really is a dearth of available guys in the Los Angeles area who aren’t trolls and have an income. There’s certainly that in Tucson. It’s very trolly here.
Adam Baldwin, the roughneck formerly known as Jayne Cobb, is in attendance with his crazy eyes and newly bloaty face (Some guys get bloaty face when they get older. It happened to Vince Vaughn. It happened to Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s OK, Adam. Don’t go all low carb or anything), swinging a gun around and intimidating people, which really is what he does best. I’m glad to see Baldwin rise above the pile of steaming vampire crap that was The Thirst and get a show on a network that doesn’t cancel halfway through the pilot.
I feel like the people behind Chuck don’t think I’m an idiot. It’s like I’m trusted to figure stuff out as the show goes on and discover sticky government secrets along with Chuck.
And Chuck recognizes the the world saving properties of porn. That’s an untapped resource in the war on terror. Homeland Security should look into that.
