Presidential Geek Survey Diary – Day 72
This week in a vote of 334 to 1, Congress approved a resolution to recognize September 11th as a day of remembrance. The single vote against the resolution was Dennis Kucinich, who chose to stick by his principles rather than vote for a resolution he considers incomplete.
Prior to the vote, Kucinich issued a press release stating that “[Congress needs] to wake up to the truth and exercise its obligation under the Constitution to save our nation from being destroyed from the lies that took us into Iraq, the lies that keep us there, the lies that are being used to set the stage for war against Iran and the lies that have undermined our basic civil liberties here at home. We need to call those who used 9/11 to take us into war against Iraq to an accounting under the U.S. Constitution, U.S. law and international law.”
Dennis, you’re clearly not afraid to stand on your own and address what no one else wants to. You know what no one is addressing? Geeks.
So, how about it, Dennis? I’m sure the Geek Survey is much less threatening than Syria and you won’t get jet lagged.
