Presidential Geek Survey Diary – Day 69
Democratic candidate Bill Richardson governs what is now, officially, the Geekiest state in the Union.
New Mexico is getting America’s first “purpose-built” commercial spaceport.

Spaceport America already hosts The Wirefly X Prize Cup, the Rocket Racing League, a division of the UK’s Starchaser Industries and UP Aerospace. It has also been selected as the world headquarters of Virgin Galactic, brining my impending sub-orbital space flight even closer to reality (I can drive to Spaceport America from my house – now I just need to save that $200,000 spacefare).
Bill, you should talk about this more often. In fact, it fits in very well with the Pink Raygun Geek Survey.
